Visa Requirement:
A visa is required to enter Nepal. Once can get a visa at the Royal
Nepalese Embassy or Consulate or at the airport upon arrival. Children
less than 10 Years need not pay any visa fees. Two passport sized
photos are mandatory for visa on arrival.

Access to Nepal
BY AIR: The Nepal Airlines (RA) is the national flag carrier of Nepal
with flights to / from Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai,
Bangkok, Hong Kong, Osaka, Shanghai and Singapore. Other international
Airlines operating from / to Kathmandu are Austrian Airlines (Vienna),
Air China (Lhasa), Jet Light (Delhi), Biman Bangladesh (Dhaka), Cosmic
Air (Delhi, Dhaka, Kolkotta, Varanasi), Gulf Air (Abu Dhabi, Bahrain),
Indian Airlines ( Delhi, Kolkatta, Varanasi), Jet Airways (Delhi), PIA
(Karachi), Qatar Airways (Doha), Royal Druk Air ( Delhi, Paro), Thai
Airways (Bangkok), Korean Air (Seoul), Silk Air (Singapore) and many
more.
Currency
Nepalese notes / bills come in Rs.1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 250,
500 and 1000 rupee denominations. Coins of various denominations are
also in common-use. Foreign currency must be exchanged only through
the Banks or Authorized Foreign Exchange Dealers. The receipts from
such transaction are to be obtained and retained.
Airport Tax
Rs. 1,356.00 or US$ 20.00 –per person for departure to SAARC [South
Asian countries] and Rs. 1,695.00 or US$ 25.00 for departure to other
international destinations.
Customs Formalities
All baggage must be declared and cleared through the customs on
arrival an entry. Personal effects are permitted free entry. A tourist
may bring in dutiable goods, such as tobacco and liquor within the
prescribed quantity free of duty. Carrying narcotics, arms and
ammunition are strictly prohibited. Visitors can export souvenirs to
their respective countries. The export of antiques requires special
certificate from the department of Archaeology, National Archive

There will be some program for participant’s artists to arrange
sightseeing tours to some of very interesting and important place for
sightseeing in leisure time. Although, the participant's artists or
any body of 5th International Folk Festival 2010 will be assisted by
